Default Installation Tips

Since there are no installation instructions yet, it might be helpful for us to post things we find we have to do in order to successfully install this program.

One thing I had to do, which was not evident listed as a requirement in the install check, was to "777" the /admin/banners folder in order to upload images for the banners.

Thank you for your tips, Julie!
We will change the installation program so that the person who wants to install xooPartner can't go forward ("next" button will be disabled) until all the critical requirements are met.

Default Installation in the eSyndicat subfolder

I use eSyndicat script as a CMS for the main site and tried to install XooPartners in the partners/ subfolder.

Because of the eSyndicat .htaccess rules when I type http://MySite.com/partners/ or http://MySite.com/partners/admin/ - I get 404 errors...

To access these pages I have to type full url: http://MySite.com/partners/index.php

Is there a way to edit main .htaccess file that common mod_rewrite rules would not apply to the partners/ folder only?

Thanks.

Hi
I used to have similar problem. Please add the following line to your xooPartner .htaccess file:
Code:
RewriteBase /partners
I think this will help and prevent using esyndicat .htaccess file
